There are people born initially not for each other, but fate has “pushed” to bring them together.

Besides the journey to collect dragon balls, the fight against evil, efforts to overcome himself, Dragon Ball also tells the story of human love, love and of course love. Here are 6 couples who have contributed to Dragon Ball’s popularity.

1. Goku and Chichi

unnamed file 37 - DBZ Shop

Goku and Chichi are probably the most classic couple of Dragon Ball, nobody knows them. Despite his bad powers, Goku is quite naive, reckless and troubled. However, there is still Chichi, a wise, rational and somewhat evil wife. Maybe so, she was able to raise two children, Gohan and Goten.

According to the plot, Chichi developed feelings for Goku when she was saved by our main character from an early age. Just because he accidentally and “fancies” that a bride is a food, Goku agrees to marry Chichi. However, this is also an interesting and meaningful love for Dragon Ball fans, and this small family also gives Goku more than a full stomach.

2. Vegeta and Bulma

unnamed file 38 - DBZ Shop

Arriving on Earth to find the dragon ball, the last thing Vegeta found was … a love for Bulma and her two children. This is probably the most unexpected and exciting change in the world of Dragon Ball. A character originally born to be a villain, a character born to think that to be the girlfriend of the female lead, who suspected they would come together.

However, after the exciting adventures and the classic battles in Dragon Ball, the two have become closer than ever. Obviously, calling Vegeta and Bulma as the beautiful couple of Dragon Ball is also no one to object.

3. Krillin vĂ  Android 18

unnamed file 39 - DBZ Shop

Skinhead Krillin met Android 18 for the first time when she was Dr. Gero sent to destroy the Earth’s inhabitants. The two of them are just two enemies, nothing more. Android 18 itself did not pay any attention to Krillin and focused on “hunting” Vegeta. Later, these two characters were more developed when Krillin took actions to help save Lazuli – her real name. After leaving, she gave Krillin a kiss to say goodbye.

The sudden kiss caused him to freeze and begin to have feelings for her ever since. After Cell’s defeat and the rebirth of Android 18, Krillin pursues her until she agrees to accept his proposal. Both have a child named Marron and have a private life with their happy families.

4. Gohan and Videl

unnamed file 40 - DBZ Shop

Gohan and Video are classmates in high school. During the first meeting, Gohan was so embarrassed that he had to find a way to avoid Videl as she always tried to find out his mystery. Later, Videl cornered Gohan in many things and forced him to attend the martial arts festival if he did not want her to reveal her secrets. Gohan reluctantly agreed.

Later, Gohan and Videl arose in the martial arts festival. The two were married later and had a daughter named Pan. This has had a major impact on Gohan no longer wants to become a warrior anymore but become a scholar to have more time with Videl and Pan.

5. Future Trunks and Mai

unnamed file 41 - DBZ Shop

Trunks is the future son of Vegeta and Bulma, and he travels back in time to help the Warriors Z stop Cell. After defeating Cell, he returns to his time to rebuild the world with help from Mai.

At first, the two decided to be just friends but after many difficulties together, they began to share their true feelings. Together they decided to go to a completely different era, free from destruction and chasing enemies to be together.

6. Mr. Brief and Ms. Panchy

unnamed file 42 - DBZ Shop

Mr. Brief rarely appears in Dragon Ball, but he is one of the best in the series. He is the creator of Capsule Corp. and with his wife Panchy who taught Bulma to be human.

Basically, this couple is kind, loving and optimistic. They always love to help others whenever possible. With the help of Mr. Brief and Ms. Panchy, Goku and Vegeta were able to upgrade significantly, and can go as far as Namek thanks to the spacecraft repaired by Mr. Brief.

Occasionally, author Akira Toriyama will forget some of the characters he created.

1. Grand Kai

unnamed file 43 - DBZ Shop

When Goku traveled to the afterlife after Cell Games, he was sent to the planet of Grand Kai. In the anime, he participated in a tournament on a global scale to win the opportunity to become a student of Grand Kai.

Grand Kai is the leader of the remaining Kai and is considered one of the strongest warriors in the universe. You may think that Grand Kai cannot be on this list, but in fact, the appearance of Grand Kai is mainly for the appearance of Supreme Kai in the Majin Buu arc. As the story progresses, temples and deities gradually take a bigger role in Dragon Ball Super, but we don’t see anything about the Grand Kai in this series anymore.

2. The fellow warriors of Baba

unnamed file 44 - DBZ Shop

Unable to find the location of one of the dragon balls, Goku had to ask for help from Fortuneteller Baba. She only agreed to help him if he defeated his five champion warriors. Goku and his friends had to fight vampire Fang, invisible people, mobile mummies, bats, and a mysterious masked man. Despite possessing many hegemony powers in the series, these warriors of Fortuneteller Baba never appear again.

3. Android 16

unnamed file 45 - DBZ Shop

Android 16 is the most perfect product Dr. Gero created. He is programmed with the intention of destroying Goku, but it seems that he is able to free himself from what has been programmed to work on his own consciousness and just wants to live peacefully. Android 16 was killed by Perfect Cell in Cell Games. Yamcha used dragon balls to revive all those who were killed by Cell and Android, but Android 16 was not included, and never mentioned again.

4. Grandpa Gohan

unnamed file 46 - DBZ Shop

Grandpa Gohan is an old disciple of Master Roshi. He found Goku abandoned in the forest and raised him as if he were his son. Gohan died when Goku first transformed into the Great Ape. Goku then reunites with him again when Fortuneteller Baba takes him back from the dead to challenge Goku.

It is unusual that we have never seen Gohan’s grandfather in Dragon Ball Z. Goku stayed in the world of the dead when Piccolo and Perfect Cell killed him, but strangely the grandfather Gohan and Goku have never met again. .

5. Monster Carrot And Rabbit Mob

unnamed file 47 - DBZ Shop

Rabbit Mob is a group of thugs led by Monster Carrot. Goku uses his powers to fly them to the moon. He promised to come back after a year and bring them back, but had completely forgotten this promise. Master Roshi then blew the moon away at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama once confirmed that Rabbit Mob is still alive and floating in space, although no one knows their fate now. How’s it going.

6. Shen

unnamed file 48 - DBZ Shop

Shen is just a normal middle-aged man, until one day Kami “borrowed” his body temporarily to participate in the Martial Arts Tournament in secret. He defeated a few strong boxers, before facing Piccolo and losing miserably. Kami escaped from Shen’s body to protect himself. Shen said that he was sleeping or drunk, while everyone told him about the martial arts feats he performed. After the tournament, he also disappeared without a tooth.

7. The Stork Master

unnamed file 49 - DBZ Shop

The 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament turned into a conflict between the Turtle School and the Stork School. Students of Master Roshi fight against the followers of Master Shen – The Stork Master. The tournament ends with a battle between Goku and Tien. In this battle Tien and Chiaotzu escaped the control of Master Shen.

He reappeared in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, when Tien defeated Shen’s brother. He fled and vowed to take revenge on Tien, but did not appear again in the end.

8. King Chappa

unnamed file 50 - DBZ Shop

There is a character in the first series of Dragon Ball, who seems to be the prototype for Hercule. His name is King Chappa and he was the previous World Martial Arts Tournament winner. King Chappa lost to Goku in the qualifying round of the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, then was killed by Piccolo’s minions and revived by the dragon ball. King Chappa returns to the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament and … loses to Goku again. After all, perhaps obediently accepting defeat, he never returned to challenge any martial artist on Earth again.

9. Maron

unnamed file 51 - DBZ Shop

One of the most memorable characters introduced in Garlic Jr. Saga is Maron. She dated Krillin after he returned from Namek. Maron returns to Dragon Ball Z in the Saga Cell, when she goes to Kame’s house to find Krillin. As for Krillin, he was too busy fighting Android, so he didn’t know that she was looking for me. Maron has never appeared again since then.

10. Launch

unnamed file 52 - DBZ Shop

Akira Toriyama admitted that he is not a person with a good memory, he has forgotten many important parts of the story of Dragon Ball. The worst victim of this is undoubtedly the Launch.

Launch is the main character in the first part of Dragon Ball. She appeared in many places, participated in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament and then suddenly disappeared from the manga later. Dragon Ball Z brought Launch to re-appear in a few scenes, then it was moved to a cameo role for the rest of the series. In an interview to advertise the Battle of Gods, Akira Toriyama stated that Launch lived on a farm with Tien, Yamcha and Chaotzu. This was her final fate in Toriyama’s mind.

When in Dragon Ball is Vegeta stronger than Goku? From his introduction in Dragon Ball Z‘s Saiyan saga to his current status as a leading figure in Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta has undoubtedly experienced the most character growth out of anyone in the franchise. Initially a cold and heartless villain in pursuit of nothing but strength and glory, Vegeta arrives on Earth looking to exploit the Dragon Balls for his own personal gain, but after falling in love with Bulma and coming to see Goku as more of a rival than an enemy, Vegeta’s fierce persona softens. Nevertheless, Vegeta maintains his feverish desire to surpass Kakarott even after dropping his villainous ways.

Dragon Ball Z charts Vegeta’s constant struggle to surpass the strength of his Saiyan rival, Goku. Here are all the times he actually achieved that.

Vegeta Was Stronger Before Goku Trained With King Kai

unnamed file 53 - DBZ Shop

At the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, Goku and Piccolo are forced to team up against the former’s biological brother, Raditz, and even as a unit they struggle to come out on top, with Goku giving his life to win the fight. Raditz possesses only a fraction of Vegeta’s power, so the fact Goku barely managed to beat him confirms that Prince Vegeta was the stronger of the two during their early lives. The turning point comes after Goku trains with King Kai in the afterlife and learns trademark moves such as Kaio Ken and the Spirit Bomb. This brings Goku up to Vegeta’s level and, after an intense fight to conclude the Saiyan saga, there is no clear winner.

Vegeta’s First Super Saiyan Transformation

Goku attained the fabled Super Saiyan form first, but Vegeta apparently did it better. After training alone vigorously to catch up with Goku, Vegeta unveils his Super Saiyan transformation while facing down the Androids, and Piccolo states that, with this later power upgrade, Vegeta has managed to overtake Kakarott. The fact that Goku was ailed with a heart condition at the time perhaps didn’t aid his cause.

Goku Vs. Majin Vegeta (Possibly)

unnamed file 54 - DBZ Shop

The battle between Goku and Vegeta after the latter gives in to temptation and receives a Majin power-up is a source of heated debate within the Dragon Ball franchise, with the intense bout ending without a clear winner. In Goku’s defense, the protagonist was hiding a whole new form up his sleeve – the long-haired, eyebrow-less Super Saiyan 3. However, Goku was barely able to maintain this form, which is perhaps why he remained in second gear for the fight against Vegeta. With the former villain benefiting from Babidi’s magic, it could be said that he has the slight edge on this occasion, but any advantage is very much marginal for the Saiyan Prince.

Vegeta Trained In The Hyperbolic Time Chamber First

unnamed file 55 - DBZ Shop

Dragon Ball Z‘s Cell saga introduces the now-familiar concept of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, a place where characters can train for years with only a few days passing in the outside world. Goku, Vegeta and their respective sons utilized this mystic room when faced with the formidable threat of Cell. Presented with such a golden opportunity to gain strength over Goku, Vegeta was not in the mood for waiting and forced himself to the front of the queue, entering the chamber first with Trunks and leaving Goku and Gohan outside. When the duo emerge, it’s clear that Vegeta’s time inside has allowed him to advance the Super Saiyan form, leaving Goku behind…at least until after his own session inside the chamber.

Beerus Slaps Bulma

unnamed file 7 - DBZ Shop

In Dragon Ball‘s Battle of Gods storyline, Goku is challenged by Beerus, the God of Destruction, and is instantly decimated despite being in his Super Saiyan 3 form. A few scenes later, Beerus makes the grave mistake of laying a hand on Bulma and Vegeta loses control, managing to briefly fight on a relatively even keel with Beerus. While the outburst doesn’t last long, Vegeta is, in this moment, stronger than Goku.

Goku is known as one of the strongest anime characters of all time. While the Saiyan warrior is certainly powerful enough to be worthy of that distinction, that doesn’t mean there aren’t anime characters who could beat Goku. Actually, there are a lot of them – and some are pretty surprising.

Here is a list featuring 10 anime characters more powerful than Goku.

BROLY – DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY

unnamed file 8 - DBZ Shop

Similarly to Goku and Vegeta, Broly is a Saiyan who survived the destruction of their homeworld. Unlike either of them, Broly has not had the opportunity to fight against powerful opponents. Despite this, he has no trouble keeping up with them.

In his base form, he’s strong enough to keep up with a Super Saiyan God. As a Legendary Super Saiyan, his power far exceeds that of both Goku and Vegeta. Even if he doesn’t have the same 40 plus years worth of fighting experience, Broly is a fighting prodigy. Although he is mostly a pacifist, if he puts in the effort to train, even Goku won’t be able to surpass him.

SAITAMA – ONE PUNCH MAN

unnamed file 9 - DBZ Shop

Goku might be able to survive planet-ending energy blasts, but Saitama can wipe out an astroid with his bare fists. In fact, one of Saitama’s most basic personality traits is his ability to eliminate everything he touches by punching it. Goku, being part of “everything” is no exception.

There is a slight chance that Goku could move quickly enough that Saitama wouldn’t be able to land a hit, but all he has to do is land one, and it’s over for Goku. Meanwhile, most of Goku’s fights involve multiple blows before anybody can be declared a winner.

BARAGANN LOUISENBAIRN – BLEACH

unnamed file 58 - DBZ Shop

Even though Goku’s mastered the power of a Super Saiyan God, he’s still mortal. For a powerful martial artist like him, an opponent like Baragann Louisenbairn is his worst nightmare. Baragann’s power Senescencia allows him to create a time dilation field, reducing the speed of anything that gets close to him.

With a single touch, he can forcibly age a person’s body. This power is further enhanced once he releases his Ressurreccion. In this state, even attacks like a Kamehameha wave would explode before reaching him. Along with the power of his Respira, Goku would never be able to lay a hand on him.

TRUTH – FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD

unnamed file 59 - DBZ Shop

The Truth is an immortal being that no one can stand up against – including Goku. With no effort whatsoever, the Truth could disassemble Goku’s entire body, force far more information into his brain than he is mentally or emotionally prepared to handle, and utterly wipe him out.

In addition, the Truth doesn’t really have a physical form, so none of Goku’s attacks would have any impact on him whatsoever – all they’d do is drain Goku’s stamina. His best shot at defeating the Truth is to stay away from him – which is fairly easy if he doesn’t take up alchemy.

NONO/ BUSTER MACHINE #7 – DIEBUSTER

unnamed file 60 - DBZ Shop

To the average person, Nono looks just like a regular girl with dreams of becoming a space pilot. However, her true identity is Buster Machine no. 7. While Goku is no stronger to fighting mechas, none of them come close to her level of strength.

At her full power, she practically defies the laws of physics. In addition to controlling thousands of nanomachines, she also has a laser that can slice a planet in half. One of her greatest feats was being able to stop a moving planet after becoming a Diebuster. Goku may be strong, but even he isn’t strong enough to stop a planet.

THE LORD OF NIGHTMARES – SLAYERS

unnamed file 61 - DBZ Shop

The Lord of Nightmares is an omniscient existence and the embodiment of the Sea of Chaos. As a result of her divine nature, she does not have her own physical form.  Instead she temporarily takes over the body of Lina Inverse when she draws on her power. Even if by some miracle Goku overpowers her host, he can never truly defeat her.

When using her power, Lina can perform incredibly destructive spells with power that far surpasses any of Goku’s techniques. The Giga Slave is one such powerful spell. With the power to potentially destroy the whole world, even Goku’s Spirit bomb seems minor in comparison.

MADOKA KANAME – PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA

Goku might be powerful, but he’s no magical girl – scratch that, he’s no omnipotent goddess. In exchange for becoming a magical girl, Madoka Kaname wished for infinite power over time and space, which she used to eliminate all witches before they’re born. There’s no reason why she couldn’t do the exact same thing to Goku.

For Madoka, going back in time to eliminate him before he was born would be no problem. She could also go for a far less drastic magical solution – since she can control everything, she could do anything from nerf his power completely to get him to decide that spending the day with Chi-Chi is a better use of his time.
